Take the JR Hanawa Line from Morioka Station on the Tohoku Shinkansen or Akita Shinkansen to Ohara Station, about 20 minutes. Approximately 30 minutes by bus from Oosara Station. Take a JAL (to/from Sapporo, Osaka, or Fukuoka) or FDA (to/from Nagoya) flight to Iwate Hanamaki Airport. From the airport, take a bus to Morioka Station, about 1 hour.
